The Sustainable Practices in Green Environments training (EQF Level 4, basic/intermediate) lasts 27 hours and covers ecology basics, The Sustainable Environmental Construction (KESY) criteria, native plants, legislation, soil food web, and practical case studies. Learners gain knowledge, skills, and competencies for sustainable design, work independently or in teams, and receive micro credentials upon evidence-based assessment.
What you'll learn
- Understand the basics of ecology and know how to apply them in a built environment;
- Know the key KESY (Sustainable Environmental Construction) criteria, the principles of using natural plants, the legislation concerning green environments, and the basics of the soil food web
- Be able to identify the most common forest and green environmental habitats and/or vegetation and assess their suitability for different environments;
- Recognize interactions between species and understand the importance of soil microbes for the functioning and well-being of green environments;
- Follow instructions in accordance with the principles of sustainable development in the design and maintenance of green environments;
- Perform work tasks independently or as part of a work group and apply what they have learned in practical situations.
