Upon completion of the course, learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles of sustainable finance and the role of ESG investments in enhancing financial performance. They will be able to identify and evaluate ESG-related challenges and risks, and interpret the EU regulatory framework, including the EU Taxonomy and the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). The course also develops analytical and practical skills through case studies on sustainable financial products, ESG data analysis, and the assessment of socially responsible investment strategies.

Understand the principles of sustainable finance;
Understand the role and significance of ESG investments in financial performance;
Identify and interpret ESG challenges and risks;
Understand and explain the EU regulatory framework related with sustainable finance: EU Taxonomy Regulation and the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR);
Analyse ESG data to propose and assess the impact of a socially responsible investment product and strategy;

Understands the key categories and principles of the Eurosif methodology for assessing sustainability-related investments;
Describe the structure, objectives, and impact of sustainable financial products (ESG mutual funds, green and social bonds, and sustainable alternative assets);
Practice with real-world case studies—analyse sustainable investment portfolios or green projects and evaluate their performance using ESG criteria.
