This course is intended to give learners practical skills to apply sustainability frameworks and systems thinking on projects, interpret relevant EU and Bulgarian regulations, and embed compliance into design and delivery. Participants learn to develop cross-sector initiatives with clear governance, to secure and align funding, manage risks and contracts, coordinate contractors and stakeholders, and to implement monitoring and KPI frameworks that demonstrate measurable environmental and social performance.

What you'll learn

Understand and explain sustainability concepts and global frameworks, and their cross-sector relevance;
Analyse key EU and Bulgarian sustainability laws (Green Deal, CSRD, Climate Change Mitigation Act);
Design cross-sector initiatives addressing environmental, social, and economic aspects;
Identify and compare collaboration models for joint sustainability efforts;
Conduct stakeholder analysis, create engagement strategies and facilitate dialogue;

Identify funding mechanisms for joint sustainability effort;
Develop sustainability projects proposals based on strategic goals and aligned with funding requirements;
Adopt collaborative governance and risk management practices to coordinate joint initiatives between organisations;
Design a monitoring and evaluation framework, including project-relevant KPI’s.
