Implement circular, green and socially responsible procurement
This advanced course is designed to develop essential skills in sustainable procurement. You will learn about the EU regulatory framework, understand how to apply circular economy principles and life-cycle costing approaches in procurement, and integrate ESG criteria into tenders and contracts. Moreover, you will gain expertise in evaluating suppliers based on sustainability criteria. The online program is complemented by two days of in-person training, providing practical experience in designing procurement strategies aligned with EU objectives and developing green and social procurement plans.
What you'll learn
- Understand EU, and Spanish or Italian regulatory frameworks on sustainable procurement;
- Learn the principles of the EU, Spanish, Italian regulatory framework on sustainable public procurement;
- Design procurement strategies aligned with EU Green Deal objectives and national green/social procurement plans;
- Integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria in tenders and contracts;
- Evaluate suppliers and contracts based on sustainability performance, also by using the environmental/social labels and certifications/registrations;
- Apply circular economy and life-cycle costing approaches in procurement.
A note on the course: Modules 3 and 7 will be conducted entirely in person.
